The HU Robosub team is a powerhouse of multidisciplinary talent, united by a singular, driving passion for the frontiers of maritime engineering. Composed of dedicated students from across the HU University of Applied Sciences, the team represents a vibrant fusion of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and ICT disciplines. Their mission goes far beyond the competition; they are explorers at heart, dedicated to unlocking the uncharted potential of themselves and what they can contribute.
Meet the team
Led by Rik Lafeber and Colin Voncken, HU Robosub brings together students from different disciplines, from mechanical design to software, electrical systems, and IT, all working toward one shared goal. It is a team built on the belief that world-class engineering does not have to wait until after graduation. Every AUV, every award, and every mission completed underwater is proof of that.
